In Part Il of experiment 6, a 1:1:1 mixture of sand, salt, and salicylic acid must be separated. Order the following steps necessary to separate this mixture into three pure, dry solids.
1 Filter the liquid leaving a filtrate with just salicylic acid dissolved and a residue of salt and sand.
2 Add hot ethanol.
3 heat the liquid filtrate from the previous step to leave dry salicylic acid.
4 Add hot water to the residue obtained in two steps prior to this one.
5 Filter the liquid leaving a filtrate with just salt dissolved and a residue of sand.
6 Heat the residue in the previous step to leave dry sand.
7 Heat the residue in the previous step to leave dry sand.
