I had a project about lord of the flies, i had to paint a shirt and explain the reason. (Had to be related to the story and I had to add a quote that i thought best described the essence of LOTF)

here’s my one paragraph explanation:
“To make my shirt, I reread important parts of Lord of the Flies to get ideas on what to draw. The scene where Jack cuts a pig’s head and offers it to the beast as a gift was compelling, so I decided to include the dead boar in the shirt. Jack and his tribe are scared of the beast and believe that it will leave them alone if they give it gifts. The boys don’t know that the beast they’re worshiping is the evil inside each of them. Taking this information, I concluded that the best quote that captures the essence of Lord of the Flies is "Maybe there is a beast.. Maybe it’s only us" by Simon. Another vital symbol I decided to use was Piggy’s broken glasses, to represent his death and how the other boys lost their rationality and civilization. “
