Analysis
This is the first part of the write-up that needs to be written in paragraph form. A good analysis tends to have
at least 3 well-written paragraphs. The following topics need to be addressed:
a. Experimental set-up. Do NOT re-write the procedures, but do explain what we were testing
(independent variable,) what we were measuring (dependent variable,) our control group, experimental
group, and constants.
b. Refer to your graph and explain what it shows you. According to the graph, which product worked the
best (and why) and which product worked the worst (and why.) Also look for any patterns in the data.
Did more expensive products work better than cheaper ones? Did all of the sanitizers do better than all
of the soaps or vice versa? Look for broad patterns like this and state if you see any.
c. Error analysis: Write out at least three ways our data may not be completely accurate. Include a specific
solution to prevent this problem in the future for each error.
