For this lab, you will start by gathering as much research about Pluto and the controversy surrounding it as you can using both information from the unit as well as online research. Feel free to explore a variety of websites, videos, and anything else that you can find. You want to make sure to gather information to support both sides of the Pluto classification controversy. It might be helpful to explore some opinion-based articles or blogs, where the author expresses their strong opinion on one side of the argument. After you have completed your research, you will organize everything into two separate arguments. You may choose to simply put together bullet points and notes for each side of the argument or you may want to write up more formal and complete points to argue. This is completely up to you. Next, you will need to find a friend or family member to help you and act as the opposing person in your debate. Decide which side of the argument you will argue and assign your friend the other side, providing them with all of your research and notes and allowing them a bit of time to look them over and become familiar with the information.
