Your teacher has told you that: The fall of the Roman Empire was not due to one event but due to many events combined. Write a paragraph of five to eight sentences in which you explain what your teacher means by this statement. You must provide at least five well-developed examples, organize your response carefully, and check for accurate spelling and grammar.
Use this paragraph to write the 5-8 paragraphs.

"The Roman people were proud. They believed they and their ancestors had created a civilization that could not be conquered. For centuries, historians have studied the Roman Empire and its decline. The civilization covered a vast area of land. It included a large number of people. The Roman Empire was a powerful force. Its army was feared. Its laws, art, and culture were copied by other civilizations. So why did this grand civilization fail? During the 1700s, Edward Gibbon, an English historian, wrote The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. Gibbon wrote that many things contributed to the downfall of Rome. Due to great expansion, Rome was divided into eastern and western sections. Rome suffered ongoing attacks by fierce Germanic invaders. Its people, as well as its leaders, had become weak. They became unwilling to stand up for Roman beliefs and ideas. Gibbon believed that all of these things led to the fall of the Roman Empire."

Try to keep it simple btw. I'm only in 7th grade.
