When the demand is constant and the order delivery lead time (LT) is known and finite, there is no benefit in carrying stock from one cycle to the next, so each order should be timed to arrive just as existing stock runs out. The reorder level (ROL) is:
a) the time needed to receive the goods once the order is placed.
b) the time for order preparation.
c) the inventory level at which the order needs to be placed to replenish the stock before it runs out.
d) the inventory level which balances holding costs and ordering costs.
e) the inventory level at which the time to receive the goods is minimized.
