we must put the food in our oral canal. This action is called_1_. Then we chew it up, or 2_the food. But, we don't call it food now, we call it _3_. Then it is swallowed_.oops, I mean we have to do _4_!.. "GULP!"_Once this happens it moves through the first "door", the _5_which is part of the long tube called the _6_. To get it down it must be pushed by muscular waves called _7_. Now we are at the bottom of the tube, ready to enter the stomach. First, however, we need to pass through the _8_ Now we are in the stomach or the _9_. Then we move up the big bulge or the big wheel of _10_. Now we are at the main part of the stomach or the nice _11_of water where most digestion occurs. We are almost out of the stomach but before we leave we will meet the Greek God _12_ who feels bad that you got all wet and says, "Thanks for coming. I hope you can come back another_13_." Then exit through the gate, a.k.a._14_ Now For the Layers_. First we start with the layer that covers all our visceral organs, the _15_. Then we hit the outer layer of the stomach (which secretes a slippery fluid), the _16_. Then to the strong layer that helps the stomach in mechanical digestions, the _17_. The 3 types of muscles used are..first the outer_18_then the _19_& finally the inner_20_. Then we meet the submucosa that contains our blood vessels. Finally, we reach the innermost layer called the _21_. It covers the inner lining with _22_. Now, this layer is covered with a special gland called the _23_. Also, this layer is covered with little grooves or _24_which house this wonderful inactive enzyme called 25_ Once the _26_cells produce HCI it will contact this inactive enzyme and form the powerful enzyme called _27_. Now food will be broken down and turned into the milkshake like substance called _28_ Now, we have successfully brokk- down food and are ready to leave the stomach and go to the first part of the _29_intestine, the _30_!!! Great Job! 1
