Vulnerable populations include populations that are 'at risk' and have struggles related to a problem that is systemic. Teen parents can be considered 'at risk' due to barriers that may exist relative to health and/or resources to assist with combating any potential limitations. Persons diagnosed with HIV/STDs can be considered at-risk and are vulnerable as well due to the availability of healthcare and/or other social, economic, or political resources being able to assist towards relieving the issue. In sum, vulnerable populations are groups and communities at a higher risk of experiencing barriers and limitations. InstructionsThe next section of the grant proposal focuses on a section entitled, "Human Sexuality & Vulnerable Populations". Critically examine the needs relative to sexuality with vulnerable populations and the Human Services Professional's role in assisting with addressing these needs of teen parents and those diagnosed with HIV/STDs within the community. How does addressing sexuality in adolescence potentially prevent an increase in teen pregnancy?
