=6+16

A= l x w
=8x3

What you want for the area is on side (8) times the other side (3).
Meaning:
8*3=24

What you want to for the perimeter is all of the sides of the rectangle added up.

Meaning,
8+8+3+3=22 the perimeter is 22 

Therefore the Area=24 and the Perimeter=22
