Asia is dotted with broad, triangular shaped land areas at the mouths of rivers called . At the of two rivers lies rich land that is suitable for farming. Besides giving vast areas of farmland, these rivers also provide for power. Finally, many of the rivers can be partially by canals to provide for areas that do not have nearby water supplies

Sediment, like silt and/or sand, are deposited at the mouth of a river and forms river flows into a sea or lake.

Near the sea, these sediments get deposited and due to the water moving thru it,  it forms the typical triangular shapes referred to as delta.
