Hey there! :D
We will use trigonometry for this. I like to use Chief S o/h C a/h T o/a.
Thing of this like an angle, or a triangle. The tall tree is the side, the short tree starts at the vertex at the end of the triangle, and the distance between is the bottom side. We are trying to find the hypotenuse (the tall tree to the bottom vertex) and we already know the adjacent side, (which is 75) and the opposite side (which is 100). I'm going to use Sine. S o/h
[tex]sine(15)= 100/x [/tex]
Multiply 100 to the other side.
[tex]sine(15)*100= x[/tex]
Insert in calculator.
x= 25.88190451
The nearest foot is 26 feet.
The tree is 26 feet tall.
I hope this helps!
