Archaea live in extreme environments that can be really hot or have a high salt level and stuff like that. Archaea can also produce methane too. Bacteria can be decomposers in an envrionment or live inside our body to break down food.

hopefully this helped you.

Bacteria and Archaea are prokaryotic microorganisms, they differ in many aspects.

  • Bacterial cell wall is made of peptidoglycan and their cell membrane has ester bonds, whereas;  in Archaea cell wall devoid of peptidoglycan and their cell membrane  has ether linkages .
  • Both of them have different ribosomal RNAs.
  • In bacteria only one RNA polymerase is present, whereas Archaea have three RNA polymerases.
  • Both react to some of antibiotics in a different ways.
  • Archaea live in extreme conditions, thus they are extremophiles.
