An-Nasir Salah ad-Din Yusuf ibn Ayyub, known as Salah ad-Din or Saladin, led the Muslim military campaign during the crusades. He ultimately signed the Treaty of Ramla with Richard the Lionheart which relinquished Jerusalem to Islamic control.
