A right triangle's equation for sides is
[tex]c= \sqrt{ a^{2} +b^{2} } [/tex]
Not as bad as it sounds
C is your hypotinuse
a is one side length by the right angle
b is the other side length
EX: If you are given a triangle with the sides 3in and 4in and you were to find the hypotenuse
Simply put them in
[tex] \sqrt{ 3^{2} +4^{2} } [/tex]
Square
[tex] \sqrt{9+16} [/tex]
Add
[tex] \sqrt{25} [/tex]
and get the final answer of 5
I hope this helps!
