Hey there!
Change the "addition" symbol to "subtraction"
We get: [tex]12x - x \ \textless \ x +22 -x [/tex]
Out of that equation we just made we get: [tex]11x \ \textless \ 22[/tex]
Now: [tex]11x \ \textless \ 22 [/tex]
We have to divide by [tex]11[/tex] on each of your sides
Like: [tex] \frac{11x}{11} \ \textless \ \frac{22}{11} [/tex]
Cancel out:[tex] \frac{11x}{11} [/tex] because it gives you [tex]1[/tex]
Keep: [tex] \frac{22}{11} [/tex] because it gives you the result of [tex]2[/tex] which gives us the number on the other side of the less than sign
Finally, our answer: [tex]x \ \textless \ 2 [/tex] (option [tex]C[/tex] )
Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!
