First no. = 5 x 
Second no. =  x

Equation Formation
3(5 x +8 ) = x +8
15 x + 24 = x +8
15 x - x = 8 -24
14 x = - 16
 x = -7/8
5 × -7/8 = -4 3/8

Answer = -4 3/8 , -7/8
