[tex] \frac{x}{6} +14 = 18[/tex]
[tex] \frac{1}{6}x + 14 = 18[/tex] (simplify the equation)
[tex] \frac{1}{6}x = 18-14 [/tex] (subrtact both sides by 14)
[tex] \frac{1}{6}x = 4 [/tex]
[tex]x = 4*6[/tex] (multiply both sides by 6)
[tex]x = 24[/tex]

Hope it helped,

Hey there! :)

x/6 + 14 = 18

Switch the equation around:

18 - 14 = x/6
(The sign changes when moved to the other side)

18 - 14 = 4

4 = x/6

Switch the equation around(AGAIN):

4 × 6 = x
4 × 6 = 24

24 = x

Hope this helps :)
