what is the answer to-10+(-10)

Hey!
When 2 negative numbers are added together, the answer is negative. Add the 2 numbers, and make sure your answer is negative.
[tex] 10 + 10 = 20 [/tex]
Remember that the answer is negative. Add the negative sign. Now it becomes:
[tex] 20 \rightarrow -20 [/tex]
That means your answer is -20
[tex] \framebox{-20} [/tex]
Hey there!
[tex] +,+ = + \\ \\ -.-= + \\ \\ +,- = - \\ \\ -,+ = - [/tex]
[tex] negatives = left \\ \\ \\ positives = right [/tex]
Sometimes this method isn't always accurate, just to let you know!
Since we have [tex] double [/tex] [tex] negatives [/tex] we already know that our result is going to be a [tex] negative [/tex] because the parentheses made it that way!
So, [tex] -10 + (-10) = -20 [/tex]
Your answer [tex] -20 [/tex]
Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!
