Based off of the equation you wrote above, A=Bh, we can plug in the values


1) (x+7)(x+2)=50

Distribute


2) x²+7x+2x+14=50

Add like terms


3)x²+14=50

Subtract 14 on both sides


4) x²=36


x=6
