The Fall of Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Realm and one of the foremost heavily invigorated cities is about Sultan Mehmed II, ruler of the Hassock (Ottoman) Turks, driven the attack on Constantinople. The city was guarded by 10,000 men. The Hassock Turks, in any case, had expanded their regions to incorporate the Balkans. As it were Constantinople held out behind its evidently invulnerable dividers, as the Hassock Realm spread around it. They started attacking the city's ancient walls, but failed many times, and suffered heavy casualties. On 29 May, Mehmed propelled concurrent ambushes from the ocean and arrive sides of the city that overcame the shields. The drop of Constantinople was a tremendous blow for the Christian world but, in spite of the fact that Pope Nicholas V called for a campaign to recapture the city for Christendom, no concerted military reaction was made.
