To study the element of geography called “environment and society” means that  as part of a balance, we should both study the element that surrounds us because of nature - environment - and the element that surround us because of human construction - society. Both are heavily influenced by the geographical position, as societies and environments are both equally adaptive to different condition.

“Environment and society” is about the study of how people and environments interact with each other. Environments are the natural world around us and the natural processes that are constantly happening. People can do things to affect the way the environment works, but the environment can also make people change and adapt.
