I am really in the need of help right now. I'm not good with fractions so if you could help, it would be much apriciated (sorry if I spelled that wrong). This is based off of Estimating With Fractions and Mixed Numbers

The question is:

Mr. Garcia's class ate 3 2/3 (three and two thirds = Mixed Number) pizzas, Mrs. Rizzoli's class ate 4 1/8 ( four and one eighth = Mixed Number) pizzas, and Mrs. Tindal's class ate 3 1/4 (3 and one fourth = Mixed Number) pizzas. Use Benchmarks to estimate the total number of pizzas eaten by all three classes.


A. about 9

B. About 10 (My answer)

C. about 11

D. about 12

3 2/3+4 1/8+3 1/4=11 1/24≈11.04
