This original law is one of the Law Codes of the Hammurabi who lived in ancient Mesopotamia. It was a very patriarchal society. In modern times there is no such law that mirrors this. However if for example a wife was constantly belittling her husband to the point that it was threatening behavior she could be charged with harassment or assault if it was physical, possibly also domestic abuse. The same would go if it was the husband threatening his wife. Modern laws state that harassment and assault are illegal and the perpetrator shall be charged.
