(a) Area of square A = a^2 = 16^2 = 256
(b) Area of square C = c^2 = 34^2 = 1156
(c) Using the Pythagoras theorem,
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
Area of square B = b^2
= c^2 - a^2 = 1156 - 256 = 900
(d) So b = square root of 900 = 30
