These are examples of "complex societies".

Complex society alludes to social orders with states and social classes. Three sorts of complexity are included: there are socially separated and unequal gatherings; social portions have specific exercises and jobs; and these social orders are geographically complex, with unequal exchange between particular areas. Complex society has been a focal worry of archaic exploration, particularly the reasons for change from non-state to state association, and the financial, social, and cultural changes going with that progress.

France and Brazil are large populous societies with stratification and central governments. These are examples of complex societies.
