The Upanishads teach that all people are part of a cosmic universe called "Atman".

Atman is a Sanskrit word and a standout among the most essential ideas in Hinduism, the universal self, indistinguishable with the unceasing center of the identity that after death either transmigrates to another life or accomplishes “Moksha” from the obligations of presence.
