HELP 20 POINTS!!!

I need to find the discriminant and the number of x intercepts for this quadratic:

f(x)= -4x^2+12x-9

I will rate, thank, and mark as brainliest! Thanks so much!

Respuesta :

The discriminant of equation ax^2+bx+c = 0 is b^2-4ac.

Here b = 12, a = -4, c = -9 so discriminatn is

b^2-4ac = 12^2-4(-4)(-9) = 144 - 144 = 0.

The discrimant is 0. This tells us that there is only 1 x-intercept for this quadratic

The discriminant is 0! :))
