You can give facts and information as a part to help give into emotions
Make it feel personal, urgent, and local. Like California is in a long term drought. Look up local stories to help you.
Be positive and say words and phrases like “we can do it,” “teamwork”, etc.
Give them examples of what they can do to help out or not do to protect the environment.
