The policy of mercantilism was to manipulate a government in a country and its economy to create a favorable trade balance. Mercantilism supported the belief in the bendiest of profitable trading also known as commercialism.

The policy of mercantilism was intended to maximize exports. Mercantilism includes the policy of accumulating monetary reserves through a positive balance of trade. This is achieved mainly by selling manufactured products and buying only the raw materials.
