From the scatter plot we may observe that the data points follow a parabolic path.Hence, the association between the points is non-linear also, the data points follow a quadratic association.
Also, when we make a quadratic curve around these data points we see that all of the data points will be closely related to the curve.

The three possible associations are as follows:
(a) Linear association
This is when the dots on the scatter plot look like they are on a straight line
(b) Nonlinear association
This is when the dots on the scatter plot appear to be in a curve.
(c) No association
This is when there is no trend between the dots of the scatter plot.
From the explanation above, and a proper observation of the given graph, we can conclude that the graph shows a nonlinear association.
