A potter takes 5 hours to make 8 vases. If he continues to work at the same rate, find how long it would take him to make 16 vases?

Hi!

We will solve this using proportions, like this:

5 hours to make 8 vases

x hours to make 16 vases

____________________

x = (5*16)/8

x = 80/8

x = 10

It would take him 10 hours to make 16 vases.
