what is the difference between the house of representatives and the senate.

The house of Representative represents population intended to represent a specific groups of citizens. The senate is suppose to represent the interest of the states. The senate was suppose to be the more deliberative body impacted less by politics.

The main differences between the two bodies are: The Senate has 100 members while the House 435; Senators serve six-year long terms while Representatives are elected for two years; The Senate supports the President in foreign policy matters while the House creates all revenue bills;
