London dispersion force (LDF) occurs between all substances. LDF is an intermolecular force that cats between all atoms. Every atom has an electron cloud and a temporary dipole is induced due to the movement of the electron cloud. This temporary dipole induces an opposite dipole in the neighboring atom causing a weak attraction between the neighboring atoms.
