Respuesta :

He started off with 99$
if u take the reciprocal of each fraction
22(3/2) = 33
then 33(3/1) = 99
as a check 99(2/3) is 66 and 66(1/3) = 22 which is what he is left with

The money originally was $99 if man spent two-thirds of his money and misplaced one-third of the remainder, leaving him with $22.

What is a fraction?

Fraction number consists of two parts, one is the top of the fraction number which is called the numerator and the second is the bottom of the fraction number which is called the denominator.

Let x be the total money.

(1/3)(2/3)x = 22

After solving:

x = $99

Thus, the money originally was $99 if a man spent two-thirds of his money and misplaced one-third of the remainder, leaving him with $22.
