The texts that would most likely be written in a stream-of-consciousness narrative style are: a diary entry and a poem.
According to its definition, stream of consciousness is characterized by a flow of thoughts and images, as well as feelings, which may not always appear to have a coherent structure or cohesion. It is a literary technique pioneered by Virginia Woolf, Dorthy Richardson, and James Joyce. Therefore, a diary entry or a poem are perfect genres for stream of consciousness to be used.
Stream -of- consciousness narrative style is a style that an artist- a poet or a writer- uses to talk about his /her deep feelings. The artist describes the things that happen in a character's mind. The artist goes from the character's unconsciousness to his/her consciousness all the time and this passage is generally activated by the present. The character's unconscious is sparked off by something that belongs to his/ her present life. An ordinary person can also use this narrative style to talk about his /her emotions in a diary. Therefore, this narrative style is used to describe deep feelings and emotions; it is not used to talk about facts or science. We can find this style in a diary entry an in a poem.
