What is the WORST question for a farmer to ask when determining whether or not to grow transgenic plants?

Respuesta :

the answer is "Will the transgenic plant offer any information in studying human genes?"

Answer:

is it possible for the transgenic plants to provide insight into study of human gene ??

Genetically modified plants are called transgenic plants. They are examples of   Genetically Modified Organism, (GMO) which are organisms that have been  genetically altered  through  genetic engineering so that certain desired characteristics has been artificially  imbued  to improve  yields.

The objective is to add an entirely new traits/gene(transgene) to the plant which naturally were not present in the species.

Heredity is the study of transmission of inherited characteristics from one generation to another, while the study of genes and  pattern of sequence of genes is genetics.

Therefore cultivating transgenic plants will not provide any information about human gene, because it does not explain heredity, or  the study of gene(genetic) in humans, but only  concerned with  the insertion, addition  or manipulation of genes in the plants from another plants or unrelated species  to obtain a desired  trait.
