James Madison was responsible for the bill of rights he wrote the first ten amendments
1 amendment- freedom of speech, religion, the press, to petition, to peaceably assemble and etc.
2 amendment- right to bare arms
3 amendment- no quartering
4 amendment- no unreasonable search and seizure
5 amendment- right to remain silent
6 amendment- right to an attorney or lawyer
7 amendment- civil trial
8 amendment- no cruel or unusual punishments
9 amendment- listed certain rights, will not be deny to others retained by the people.
10 amendment- rights not list belong to the people
