According to C. Wright Mills (The Sociological Imagination), if one takes a ‘public issues’ perspective, then one would look to the others for their solution to the social problem. The sociological imagination is the implementation of imaginative thought to ask and answer sociological questions.

When and where will they get the involvement of focusing on college studies and the strict self-discipline needed to transition to college credit, study, a quarter or one semester, projects, papers, group work, field trips, or examinations are the example of public issues.
