On April 9, 1914, the incident called TAMPICO occurred. On this date a group of US Navy infantrymen were arrested for an hour and a half by members of the federal army that protected the port of Tampico, which ended with an invasion of Mexico. From the ship, nine crew members descended in order to buy fuel, disregarding the orders given by the Mexican authorities from the port.
