Answer: The action by which a plant grows toward sunlight is called Phototropism.

Explanation: The term photo refers to the light and tropism refers movement or bending or turning of plants. Phototropism is the process of  movement or growth of plant in response to the light stimulus.

Phototropism is of two types :-

1-Positive Phototropism - In this type of phototropism plants move or grow towards the light source.

Sunflowers are most common example of positive phototropism.

2- Negative Phototropism - In this type of phototropism plants move or grow in opposite direction of the light source.

Monstera plant show negative phototropism.
