Answer: A) The expansion of the consumer market during the Commercial Revolution
The commercial revolution was a period in Europe’s history characterized by its economic expansion which began on the early 16th century. This expansion happened as a consequence of the discovery and colonization of the America. Because they found new land, trade routes were expanded and European merchants were able to profit from this.
Because of this new things were instituted and established, such as the creation of a money economy, people accepting the principles of mercantilism, and the formation of new institutions such as the state bank and markets. All of these was what led to the rise of capitalism in Europe.
