Boundaries are limits that everyone sets on what they can consider acceptable of someone else's actions and words. Boundaries are necessary to keep people together in a healthy manner. The three most important boundaries that individuals have to deal with are:

  1. Physical Boundary (Personal space, touching, or sexual boundaries)
  2. Mental Boundary (Opinions, beliefs, thoughts and values)
  3. Emotional Boundary (Separateness; freedom to have your own feelings)
