In this exercise we use both the verb ser and estar conjugated in the simple present tense. We use the verb ser to talk about permanent or lasting attributes. In this way, this verb stands for descriptions, occupations, characteristics, time, origin and relationships while the verb estar is used to indicate temporary states and locations, standing for position, location, action, condition, and emotion. The conjugation we use here can be explained as follows:
