A. amino acids. this is the correct answer

Answer: The correct answer is- A) amino acids.

Nucleotide is considered as the monomer of nucleic acid ( which includes DNA and RNA).

There are three basic components in a nucleotide that is -

1) A pentose sugar ( a 5-carbon sugar, which is dexyribose sugar in DNA and ribose sugar in RNA) .

2) A nitrogenous base ( Adenine, Thymine, Guanine, Cytosine in DNA nucleotide and Adenine, Uracil, Guanine, Cytosine in RNA nucleotide)

3) A phosphate group.

Thus, amino acids are not present in nucleotides.
