The method by which a fabric is interlaced by the two sets of yarns in order to make them cross each other in right angles is known as Weaving. Weaving is normally accomplished with power or hand-operated loom. Usually, a cloth is woven on a loom and it is a device which holds the threads of the wrap in place during the time when threads are woven through them. The way when the wrap and the filling threads do interlacing with each other is known to be as the weave.
The majority of the woven wefts are made with the outer edges are finished in a matter which avoids reveling and this process is known as selvages. And the three most basic weaves are plain, twill and satin. The type of weave is determined by the manner in which they are interlaced. The lengthwise yarns are known as wrap whereas the crosswise yarns are known to be as weft.
