I think it depends. It mostly depends on how much information the movie leaves out. Because I know when a book is turned into a movie, they will leave out small details but when it comes to a real life story, they leave out important information to make the story seem like something else. So I guess it could be okay as long as they are including important information but if it is something small like, "I woke up, brushed my teeth and did my morning activities/chores and THEN went to the movies." to something like, "I woke up and went to the movies than yea I think its okay because most people wouldnt care about little details like that, they just want to get to the main story.
Hope this helps chu.

What is it called when a movie is based on a True Story?
Docudrama (or documentary drama) is a genre of television and film, which features dramatized re-enactments of actual events. Docudramas typically strive to adhere to known historical facts, while allowing some degree of dramatic license in peripheral details, such as when there are gaps in the historical record.
