Without touching a deaf person there are many ways to draw the attention, Deaf people generally understand through signs, so to show them the sign we need to first make an eye contact , if the person does not look at you then we need to wave our hands to draw the attention.
To draw the person’s attention we can also use the lights of the room. We can switch on and off the lights of the room where the person is present. With this the deaf person can easily understand your presence.
We can also tap our foot on the floor so that they can feel the vibration and can sense your presence. So, these are the ways to draw the attention of the deaf person so that we can make the eye contact to communicate with the person.
