Since our previous ambassador visited, the Muslim world has seen a great deal of transformation. Islam in this region is divided between Sunnis and Shi'as as a result of disputes among Muslims regarding who is the genuine successor to the prophet Muhammad. Islam has extended far beyond the Arabian Peninsula despite this division. Across this area, into Africa, and even into Southern Europe, the empire has grown. Muslims have also advanced significantly. Science and medicine have both generated new works. Al-Khwarizmi even made the discovery of algebra, a brand-new branch of mathematics. They have advanced greatly in both art and architecture, in my opinion. Now, large mosques can be seen in many of the empire's cities.
