These are classified as T- lymphocyte, B-lymphocyte and Natural killer cells.
Bone marrow is the site of production and maturation of B-lymphocyte.They are the only cells that can produce antibody.These also differentiate to form memory cells and result in adaptive immune response.
The site of T-lymphocyte production is bone marrow and the site of their maturation is the thymus. T-cells do not produce antibodies but destroy Antigen presenting cells, cancerous cells virus infected cells etc.
