Victims of child abuse and elder may be similar because they both may feel like they aren't enough or that they aren't worth anything. They may feel as though they are nothing and nobody and no one cares about them, and some may go as far as to hurt themselves.

I think that child abuse and elder abuse are very similar because as a child we’re a lot more vulnerable, we’re small and weak and elderly people begin to be weak as well. Children and elderly people can’t defend themselves like a healthy adult can and some people take advantage of it.
